Kenneth Beache is the President and Senior Environmental Engineer of Metric Environmental. He is charged with the strategic direction of the business in the areas of Business Development and general governance whilst acting as senior engineer of record. Having achieved his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Howard University he later pursued a Master of Science Degree from Purdue University in Environmental Engineering and later acquired licensure as a Registered Architect and Professional Engineer with environmental focus.

His career of over 25 years has led to progressive architectural, engineering, environmental consulting and project management experience on diverse projects that included regulatory and permitting aspects. Ken has acquired certifications and practices in both the built environment and civil infrastructure including as an Environmental Sustainable Professional (EnvSP). His environmental career has spanned air emissions, toxics and permitting; Industrial Compliance Auditing; noise modeling (TNM); Industrial Hygiene (Asbestos Inspector/Management Planner); Hazardous Material Management (CHMM); Stormwater Pollution Prevention (SWPP) and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) planning and management to name a few.

As a member of the founding group of Shrewsberry in 2001, he assisted in building the company from its original 5 members to over 60 employees in five states and due to his unique cross-disciplined strengths, Ken rose to VP/COO applying his focus to operational oversight of the business, business development and management of multidisciplinary projects in policy, strategy and value engineering. He has also served on (and led) a variety of professional and civic boards from member and Chairman of a Community Development Corporation; Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, an IUPUI Industrial Advisory Board; Member and Chairman of the Ecological and Environmental Engineering degree program External Advisory Council at Purdue University; Member, subcommittee Chair and Indiana State board member of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).

This collection of diverse technical, managerial, financial and community life experiences equip him in an excellent fashion to perform as President of Metric Environmental.
