What is your background?
I was born and raised in San Francisco, California, and in High School was a two-sport athlete in football and basketball. I had much success in both sports, leading my team to a West Catholic Athletic League title for the first time in the school’s history in football and helping win a state championship for the first time in school history for basketball. Following high school, I earned a scholarship to the University of Kentucky as a Tight End for the football team where I graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Communications.
After graduating from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2016, I was appointed by the Governor of Kentucky to the position of Executive Director of the Office for Civil Rights and Small Business Development for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC). I worked as the Executive Director for KYTC until I opened my law practice, J. Davis Law Firm, PLLC in 2019.
