What is your background?
I have my bachelor’s in Anthropology with a Certificate of Underwater Resource Management from Indiana University (IU) and I am currently working towards my Masters in Applied Anthropology from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI).
What kinds of projects have you completed in the past ten years?
In my career so far I have worked on: the Bethel Cemetery Relocation Project through IUPUI, archaeological projects with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, a 3D Scanning Skull project for the Indiana University School of Dentistry (IUPUI Center for Digital Scholarship) and I went to the Dominican Republic and worked on the Captain Kidd dive site (Center for Underwater Science: IU).
What are three career lessons you have learned?
- Consider every mistake as an opportunity to make yourself a better professional.
- It’s a small world. Take every opportunity to grow your professional network.
- Grab opportunities as they come.
What is something that you would consider one of your greatest professional accomplishments?
